In August, I was honoured to perform at Parramatta for Palestine, a powerful night of music, dance, poetry and storytelling that raised close to $4,800 to support humanitarian work in Gaza, the West Bank, and Gazan refugees living here in western Sydney.
It was an evening that reminded us why music matters — not just as art, but as a voice for compassion and conscience.
I want to thank everyone who came along and gave their support to this event.
As an artist, it was deeply meaningful to be able to give something back and to feel that our voices are beginning to be heard.
Special thanks to:

A Night of Solidarity
Hosted at Leigh Memorial Hall, the event brought together over 120 people — families, musicians, and community members — united in compassion and hope.
The evening featured songs from Sullie & The Full Irish and The Bardwell Valley Ramblers, traditional Palestinian dance from Dahnoon Dabke, and spoken word performances that shared stories of love, loss, and resilience.
As Reverend Dr. Helen Richmond of the Parramatta Community Uniting Church wrote afterwards:
“Our hearts cry daily but we hold onto hope that one day peace, freedom and justice will prevail. Until then, in small and meaningful ways, we try and make a difference.”
How You Can Help
If you’d like to continue supporting humanitarian efforts in Gaza, please consider donating to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), who provide vital medical care to civilians in crisis.
Every contribution helps.
